Once again in 2021 PADI Course Director Holly Macleod has been recognized by the diving industry and been awarded the PADI Platinum Award and the Elite 300 Instructor award; both of which have been earned for the previous 8 years in a row.

The Elite 300 award is simply a recognition of Instructor certifications, meaning that in 2020 Holly has issued over 300 PADI certifications. The PADI Platinum Course Director rating is the highest possible recognition awarded to only a few Course Directors worldwide each year, for their industry training achievements and commitment to professional level educational excellence. The Platinum status is also a viable indication that a PADI Course Director has a high level of experience teaching professional divers to become scuba diving Instructors.

Having achieved both of these awards for 8 years in a row is both an honour and a pleasure for PADI Course Director Holly Macleod, not only providing recognition for professional achievements, but that has also fuelled a passion that has lasted for the best part of 20 years teaching recreational diving in range of different countries including Honduras, Thailand, Australia, UK, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia & Singapore. Having issued well over 3000 PADI Instructor certifications in the Gili Islands alone, Holly has now developed an IDC program that goes way over and above the requirements laid out by the PADI IDC Syllabus and provides new Instructors with the necessary skills, knowledge and most of all confidence to pursue a similar path as herself all those year ago.

Having been one of the world highest certifying scuba diving instructor trainers has also allowed PADI Course Director Holly Macleod to meet some great dive professionals from all over the world; many of which have now gone on to do great things within the diving industry; be it; environmental activities, managing dive centres, owning dive businesses, running livaboards or, as Holly has previously done, pursued a passion for combining both travel and dive training.

During 2020 Holly saw many dive professional travel to the Gili Islands, Indonesia to take the PADI Scuba Diving Instructor Course (IDC). Candidates has a variety of different previous experiences and came from a variety of different countries including Indonesia (both Jakarta and Flores), India, Hong Kong, China, Poland, USA, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Holland, Italy, Sweden, South Africa, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, France, Australia, Korea, Portugal, Singapore, Canada and Greece.

For 2021, Holly has already set the annual PADI IDC Gili Islands Schedule and looks forward to providing the same quality of training that has made it one of the most successful professional dive training programs available within the recreational diving industry.
