I did not do any research in where to do my IDC at all as... read more Holly was recommended to me by my divemaster mentor who had originally completed his own IDC with her as well. I could not have been happier with his recommendation.
Prior to the start of the program Holly sent me all important information via email as well as took the time to meet me in person and answer all my questions in great detail, although she was running an IDC at that time and must have been real busy.
The IDC itself was very well structured and organized - Holly, Justin and Ed did a great job on organization. It is worth mentioning that all three of them went out of their ways to prepare us for the IE, they would come in an hour or even two early in the morning for a private session on dive theory or stay an hour longer to help preparing presentations. Regardless whether it was 7 in the morning or 7 at night, you could always tell that Holly and also our Staff Instructor Ed were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about diving and teaching. Standards were very high which prepared me not only for passing the IE but for the actual teaching itself.

As I was starting to plan my IDC I was looking around... read more for different places and with different course directors, but already at e-mail level it became clear that Holly was the one I would do it with. Professional and personal from the first answer, all through to when she was hugging us good luck for the IE. To me that's one of the things that really shows her professionalism; though having had loads and loads of students, she never made you feel like just "one in the crowd". The whole team were always there to help you with any questions or struggles anyone might have had, staying extra hours making sure everyone were confident in both in-water skills and theory.

The course is challenging (but fun!!), but as many people have stated before me, that just makes the exams seem like a piece of cake.

If you are looking for a place to do your IDC, I would definitely recommend doing it with Holly! Thank you guys for making it such a great time!

Her passion for diving, extensive knowledge and diving experiences shine through is whatever she is teaching. Also a big thanks to Ed and Dan, the assisting staff instructors during our course. They are a great team and work hard to give you the best experience possible.
Throughout the course I felt well prepared thanks to its vigarous structure and Hollys organization. I had enough time to perfect every skill at my own pace and even enough time for additional practice if needed. All the theory and pool sessions were designed so that each individual in the group could get the best out of it.
Trawangan Dive provides amazing facilities, a comfy atmosphere and everything you need to feel relaxed during your course.

  I was part of the Feb 2020 IDC with Holly and I can say it was definitely one of my best decisions in life. We were a big group, 18... read more in total, so I was a bit concerned how that was gonna play out, but it end up being really good. Holly is an excellent CD and teacher. Everything I was worrying about regarding theory, once she started her theory classes, everything came together. During training even being such a huge group, we had all the support with Ed and Justin helping out as staff instructor. It was a very pleasant experience and I feel I learnt a great deal during those 18 days of IDC! 100% recommend doing your IDC with HOLLY!
