The PADI Divemaster Course (DMC)
“Get a Life & Go Pro”
We are PADI IDC Gili Islands, and here you’ll find all necessary information about our PADI Divemaster Course. It is perfect for skilled divers who are looking to take their recreational diving knowledge to the next level. Importantly, it’ll provide you with further skills and experience to become a mentor for recreational divers.
What’s more, the skills you will gain in supervisory management are perfect for teaching your own PADI Programs and Courses. The course comes with the following benefits:
- Working with highly experienced PADI Scuba Diving Instructors to build upon previous knowledge.
- The opportunity to develop your own skills to supervise and organize your own PADI training and diving activities.
Become Part of the Team
During your training you will have a role as part of our dive shop team. This will give you the best idea of how a dive center operates and the many roles open to a Divemaster. We believe there’s no better way for you to appreciate the PADI DM training than getting stuck in.
You will learn how to organize daily dive activities that range from prepping equipment to running the boat roster. Along with this will be the chance to brief and guide your own divers. A big part of being a Divemaster is helping students learn, so this will be a large part of your role.
Again, you will work with our experienced Instructors as they train new Open Water, Advanced and Rescue Divers. Working alongside them will expose you to different teaching methods and techniques. Also, it will refresh your knowledge of previous courses and how they can be run at different dive sites.
Gain Diving Experience
Of course, being a good Divemaster requires a lot of dive experience and we will make sure that you get it! You will have unlimited free diving during your time with us. The Gili Islands are known for their huge range of different dive sites with varying topography and conditions. Most importantly, this means you will definitely have the opportunity to take your skills to the next level!
You will dive on reefs, walls and pinnacles and explore our local wrecks while working on your drift diving skills. We also offer regular night dives and help our local environment with clean up dives. Doing so will allow you to enjoy the healthy corals and thriving marine life that make the Gili Islands famous!
