Within the last few years more emphasis has been placed on the Rescue Diver course, so therefore the same principal applies i.e. the online portion, the recap, the analysis, the discussion and then the practical. Holly then builds on this by following up with the PADI Emergency First Responder Instructor Course (EFRI) as this would be the next natural step. One great thing is that being a DAN Dive Medic and a PADI Diving Emergency Medic Responder, Holly will add a variety of Dive Medic elements to the PADI EFRI program.
Other changes allow for the use of increased practical elements during the program and, as was always the case with a program conducted by Holly, frees up some time to explore these practical elements in a more real life experience based situational setting providing candidates with the experience of dealing with unexpected occurrences.
Another recent addition to the curriculum is the exploration of continuing education. This can of course be conducted in a variety of way’s dependent upon the Course Director, but for Holly this means that we will fully explore the entire process. So for Deep Diving continuing education programs candidates will again do the online portion, analysis and discussion; but will actually role play a Deep Dive training session and will include the referral procedure by way of assessment to ascertain diver readiness; as an instructor should really do in a real life situation.
