The PADI IDC Curriculum has shifted to a more online basis, which basically means less time presenting the individual topics in the classroom. Although in some cases this would mean that certain topics will never get introduced during the curriculum, Holly does this slightly differently. Candidates will be introduced to topics through the online process and Holly will recap, whilst using personal real life experienced based scenario’s to not only reinforce online learning, but to put it into real word situations based upon actual circumstances. These situations will then be discussed and played out in real time. This way Instructor candidates will not only absorb the syllabus, but will understand its place in terms of application and purpose.
The IDC at Blue Marlin Dive runs over 21 days and includes EFRI training, 2 additional specialty ratings and a range of additional specialized workshops designed to equip candidates with the skills they need to start their career as a PADI Instructor. We run 9 IDC programs a year as well as a full range of Instructor level continuing education programs.
Our beach front location provides the perfect logistics for recreational and professional courses. We have 2 swimming pools, a dedicated air-conditioned IDC classroom and a training site located on our beautiful house reef directly outside Blue Marlin. Candidates can make the most of their training time and have access to all of the training facilities that they could need.

Holly has already issued approximately 3500 PADI Instructor level certifications in Gili Trawangan alone and has received the PADI Platinum status award for the past 10 years in a row. Having spent well over 20 years working within the recreational diving industry, Holly goes way beyond that required by the PADI IDC syllabus and teaches new instructors a variety of techniques to deliver the PADI training curriculum is a variety of variable circumstantial and situation conditions, based on real life actual personal experiences teaching these very programs and courses.
