Course Requirements
- Teaching status PADI MSDT
- Emergency First Response Instructor.
- Agree to use the PADI System and components in their entirety.
- Professional attitude
Required Materials
- PADI Course Director Manual (current edition)
- Confined Water Presentation Evaluation slate
- Open Water Presentation Evaluation slate
- Skill Evaluation slate
Course Duration
- We run Staff Instructor training alongside the IDC.
- Training will be a combination of 13 days auditing the IDC + 2 days of IDCS training prior to the IDC so 15 days in total.



What can a PADI Staff instructor do?
As a PADI Staff Instructor, you will become a key part of the Instructor Development community. The Gili Islands offer some of the best dive locations for PADI IDC development.
The role can include the following:
- Independently teach and certify PADI Assistant Instructors.
- Conduct PADI IDC training segments while the Course Director is available on site.
- Test candidate knowledge growth, with both confined water and open water teaching.
- Provide counseling and remedial training for instructor candidates and IDC Staff Instructor candidates.
- Assist with training during instructor-level education programs.
